Wooly Bully Race

2025 Wooly Bully Races

A shuttle service for those that walk onto the ferry will take runners from the dock in Stella to the race site, approximately 8 km away.  This will be available after the 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. crossings from Millhaven.  There are approximately 20 parking spaces at the dock in Millhaven, available on a first come first serve basis.  Limited, alternative parking will be available at the Millhaven Legion, located on County Road 4, just a short walk from the ferry.  After the race, the first shuttle trip back to the ferry dock will be at 11:30 a.m., the second trip at 12:30 pm.  There is no charge for this service, but it is for runners only.

The 13th Edition of the Wooly Bully Races will be held on Sunday, August 17th, 2025 at the farm of Dave Willard, 600 South Shore Road on Amherst Island. This year, the 10k/5K races will start simultaneously 10:00 a.m., preceded by the 1K Kids Run at 9:40 a.m. The KRRA event team, using the club’s timing system, will provide their services for the races.

Please note that the ferry over to Amherst Island runs on the half hour from the Millhaven dock on Highway 33, just east of Bath, Ontario. The 7:30 and 8:30 a.m. ferries will get you to the race in plenty of time. The 9:30 a.m. ferry will not get participants to the race in time. The ferry leaves from the Stella dock on the hour.  Updates will be provided closer to the race date on this website and the Wooly Bully Facebook page with travel options for race day.

Thinking of taking your bicycle across on the ferry? The Race start is a 7.5km distance from the Ferry Dock on the North Shore to the race site.

The annual Wooly Bully races are the main source of support and funding for the Neilson Store Museum. We are happy to help promote this event and appreciate the support of all the volunteers and participants.

Deadline to purchase a race t-shirt is July 30th
